Video: Stuck baby moose rescued

Living in moose territory can sometimes mean unexpected property damage, often in the shape of a moose-sized hole. While the perpetrator is usually long gone, these two men found a moose calf trapped in their fence looking rather guilty. The men decide to free the poor animal as quickly as possible.

Although they may not look like the most agile of animals, moose are actually accomplished jumpers. Their front legs are slightly longer than their hind legs, allowing them to easily leap over small barriers such as fallen trees or fences. This calf, however, was still getting the hang of things and seems to have misjudged the leap.

“You get around the corner to see two hooves sticking out of the fence … and on the other side, the longest, distressed little face with the biggest brown eyes ever seen,” wrote YouTube user ShadoHHR, who posted the video last month.
